Frequently Asked Questions

What is aerial yoga

AERIAL YOGA IS A TYPE OF modern YOGA WHICH USES A HAMMOCK OR YOGA SILK suspended from the ceiling TO ALLOW STUDENTS TO PERFORM POSTURES THAT THEY MAY NOT ORDINARILY BE ABLE TO ATTEMPT ON THE YOGA MAT.

What can I expect when I arrive at the studio?

Upon arrival you will remove shoes and place them in the provided shoe cubby, then check in with the instructor at the front desk. Then you will be instructed to pick a place on a mat/aerial silk/ or bungee and prepare for your session to begin.

Do I have to pre-register for classes?

Nama Let It Go requires pre-registration for all classes through the website.

How often should I practice yoga?

Yoga is designed as a daily practice but we all know this is not feasible for most to make studio classes that often. It is recommended to reap the full benefits to attend at least 3 times a week if possible.

What is bungee Fitness?

It is a full body low impact cardio/strength training workout. You are fitted to a harness and connected to a bungee cord and this allows you complete freedom to run, jump, bounce, dive, flip, and fly your way to fit! classes have an upbeat soundtrack and you will have so much fun it will be hard to call it a workout!

Can anyone participate in a bungee fitness class?

Yes! But Please note the bungee harness’ do have a dimension limit as well as a weight limit. You may fall within the weight range for the bungee, but the harness may not fit properly depending on your body shape.

Please measure yourself BEFORE signing up for a class if you are questioning the fit. The dimensions are as follows- the max waist measurement can accommodate up to 49.21 inches and the max thigh measurement can accommodate anyone up to 35.43 inches. Weight range is 80-250lbs.

This is to ensure your safety and comfort in the class.

Do I need to be flexible to attend?

Not at all! Practice makes progress and by coming to classes regularly that will automatically increase your flexibility naturally! We meet you where you are at with what you have.

Is there a weight limit for aerial yoga and bungee?

While the silk hammocks are professionally installed and secured and are completely safe to hold thousands of pounds, it is recommended that a body weight limit of 380lbs or less for Aerial group classes, and between 80-250lbs for Bungee Fitness Classes. If you weigh more this doesn't mean you cannot practice. Requesting to book a private lesson is suggested instead.

How early should I arrive for class?

For you to enjoy the full length of the class, please arrive 15 minutes before class starts to allow for adjustments of silks or bungees as needed. Once that is completed you may want to grab a photo/selfie at one of our several photo-ops! one the class begins the main door will be locked and no further entry will be obtained due to disruption of the class. please be punctual!

What are the main health benefits of aerial yoga?

Increased strength, better flexibility, increased cardiovascular health, eases back pain, decompression of spine, deep core strength, healthier sleep, weight loss, body confidence, reduced stress and anxiety, improved coordination and rhythm, and healthier joints and bones, and boosts those ‘‘happy hormones!'‘

Can I Wear jewelry and makeup to aerial classes?

To keep the integrity of the silks we ask that you remove all jewelry and makeup prior to joining our classes. No zippers or metal buttons will be permitted to provide a longer life of the silk.

What should I wear to aerial yoga?

Close fitting but comfortable clothing is recommended. Tank tops an shorts are discouraged as the silk can pinch when directly against bare skin. Shirts with sleeves ( short or long) and leggings are preferable. No loose tops as when we invert in poses the shirt will fly up over your head! Socks with grips are required for bungee or brand new sneakers ( never worn outside).

Does aerial yoga hurt?

The fabric can be more uncomfortable in certain poses, such as inversions where your weight is pressing on the fabric in certain spots. Bringing along a blanket may help to reduce the discomfort of first time aerialists. This is definitely something that lessens with time and practice. Pressure on certain areas such as the hip flexors help to build bone strength and reduce chances of osteoporosis!
